They are warrantied. I think you pay like $12-15 and ship them back and they will either repair or replace them.

I ran over mine. No warranty coverage

They charged me $11.95 to replace the rubber which was under warranty, but they are charging me $100 to replace a scratched lens

$140 for the glass lenses. $100 for plastic. Gotta buy both lenses.

I have a broken lens now. It's $69 for plastic and $89 for glass + $11.95 shipping.

Anyone ever change out their lenses themselves? I have an old pair of haroons that has a shattered lens and I don't want to spend $100 for repair for a pair of grass cutting glasses.

Nope, but can't be that hard. Going to find some on EBay or something. Not paying $100 either.

I always just tell them to do the work that is covered by the warranty and both times I have gotten a new pair of glasses for the 11.95 fee

Good Lawd! Their website is rather misleading then. Only time I had to do lenses was years ago and it wasn't that much. I may just mail them a picture of some Maui Jim's and tell them to kiss my arse.

There is no coupon. Their warranty service used to be incredible but you pretty much have to buy a new pair now. My lens broke and I sent them in, they said the lens would only be 10 bucks for shipping but my frame was bent (I have a big head) and that would be 120. I threw a fit and got a new pair for 70. Still ridiculous though. I spent 250 on a pair because I thought the warranty program was incredible. I wont but costa again.

Found some replacement lenses on Amazon for $36. We'll see how it works out.
Here's a before. These were glass and I had to break the good one out.

So some of you guys are spending north of 140 to repair old glasses? And you wait 4 to 6 weeks? Why not just buy another pair?
Maui Jim has a oh shite insurance policy where you break they replace, even if you run them over with a truck and tell them you did. Also turn around time on repairs is ridiculously quick. Something to think about when you replace the costas.

Costa used to be good. Now they have the market cornered and don't give a shite any more.
Late 2000's I sent a pair back that had severely deformed arms and and a shattered lens. They were beyond repair so they sent me a new (or refurbished, I couldn't tell) pair. All it cost me was my $10-$15 processing fee.
Now, you're right, you're better off just replacing them.

They were a month old and they cost $280. That's why.

Month old, if it was Maui you could of walked into any retailer with receipt and taken any pair of equal value home. Heck take cheaper and they mail you a check for difference. 100 day policy there.
Costa good glasses, but there's better to be had with a better warranty.

Theyve always been good when the problems/issues weren't my fault. Broke a pair of frames, paid to replace them. Twice. Had the ear pieces detach, they replaced them.
Most recently had the nose and ear pieces start to fall apart on a pair that I broke and they warrantied them anyway. They gave me the benefit of the doubt. I'm on my fifth set of frames on lenses that are almost 11 years old.

I had some, prescription Costas and had my doctor do the lenses from a less expensive lens manufacturer and put them in the new Costa frame. The rubber is coming off so I sent them to Costa for warranty repair...nope won't fix rubber on frame because lenses are not theirs.
WTH does having lenses from someone else do with rubber on their frame falling off?
Screw Costa!
