Corded tools vs cordless

Are there certain tools that your prefer cordless and some that must be corded?
Im trying to revamp my lineup and my most recent piece is a 12v Dewalt that was shite hot back in 2005. Not up to speed on the 20v Lithium Ion and all that.
Circular saw, jigsaw, recip, etc....
Moderate use

Mild to moderate use I recommend cordless and get some big amp hour batteries extra as well.
It's always good to have an electric version though.

Most of my stuff is corded or pneumatic. I have a cordless 3/8" drill and an LED light as moderate use tools. Also have a cordless 1/4" impact driver that sees occasional use.

I only use corded on saws. No real reason however.

Cordless:
1/4" impact driver
3/8" Drill
Everything else with a motor has a cord.

Need both.
Like a cordless 3/8 and a corded 1/2 drill
My favorite cordless is a milwaukee 12v jig saw.
For most lite duty use you can get away with cheaper corded tools.

Only thing cordless I have is a 18V Dewalt drill (about 10 years old).
I would recommend getting a corded hammer drill to handle larger bits that a cordless drill can't handle.

You can get by with just about everything cordless.

Have a lot of cordless and corded of the same tools. For quick tasks or where I have to move around an area a lot the cordless stuff works great. Certain things that I know will involve hours in one location or extended runtime then corded stuff comes out. I've retired corded and pneumatic impact wrenches entirely though, the 20V cordless versions are simply more convenient and give up nothing in performance for anything I'm likely to use them for.

I have both and it depends what I'm doing however if I'm making more than a few cuts especially in plywood I usually use a corded circular saw.

I finally broke down and bought a 20v cordless 1/2" impact too.
I can't believe I waited this long. It's awesome.

I love my 20v dewalt tools. I have the drill, impact and circular saw. 95% of the time I can get by with them alone. If I'm doing a lot of cutting, or doing some drilling through metal I'll resort to my corded drill and saw.

Finally got around to using my 18v Ridgid circ saw. Ripped about 10 12ft 5/4 planks and was really impressed with my accuracy when I didn't have to worry about the cord getting snagged. Did all the rips on a 4Ahr battery with about a quarter charge left. Also did around 250 wood to steel selef drilling tapping #12x2 3/4" screws into 1/8" steel with 1.5 charges of 4Ahr 18v on a 1/4" driver.

Cordless is becoming incredible. I now have an 80v Kobalt weed trimmer and 18inch chain saw and both are awesome. Ill use my chain saw 3-4 times a year at most, but it's nice to have when you need it. They are even making a lawnmower version...pretty cool stuff and a lot less maintenance. My 20v dewalt cordless drill is my favorite tool...it's incredible.

Have had good luck with Black and Decker 20V system. Have weedeater, circular saw, drill, hedge trimmer and pole saw.
Used the weedeater for a year and still haven't had to change the line spool yet.

Almost all of my tools are cordless, except for my circular saw. I like my circular saw to have all the power it needs. However, if you're going to buy new cordless tools, don't buy crap. Pony up the bucks and buy quality, you'll appreciate it later when you don't have to buy it again.

I still have an old corded drill that I use for certain projects like drilling into concrete or if I'm drilling into a lot of thick metal. Also corded saws of all varieties. Pretty much everything else is cordless.
