There is a friendly debate going on, on NextDoor about the animal in and around this guy's pool, caught on his security cam last night.

It is coyote season in our neighborhood. They den in the creek bank behind the house.

I also regularly see coons.

I've never seen a beaver in the hood, but the creek is fairly large and runs through Druid Hills Golf Course, where there are various ponds [of course] and connects with the larger S. Peachtree creek and Candler Lake + a veterinarian on there actually voted beaver. So, beaver isn't out of the question.

My first thought was coon, but I watched only once and on a small screen.

LINK

It enters at around 26 secs near far right corner of the house. I FFed on the link.

ETA: watched again. has to be a big coon. Spoiler alert: it reenters near same place at around 4:40

Big ole coon. Probably just ate and was washing up. Coons hate to have dirty hands and/or face.

Your buddy needs a boxer... No vermin will be allowed in the yard if you have a boxer.

I agree with the other posters here...Definitely a Coon.

NextDoor where I live is a collection of old men, retired ladies with nothing better to do than be nosy, and internet badasses waiting for someone to post on it so they can put them in their place. Our neighborhood uses it...I opted out after I seen what kind of people were there.

Aren't boxers the best?? We USED to have a cat problem in our neighborhood.. they'd climb on our vehicles and shite in our gardens.. once we got our boxer that all went away in about a month lol.. he killed an opossum awhile back, and cornered a coon not too long after that but I didn't let him go after him. He's also great with children, whether they are family or not

Great looking crib!

Large Coon. Can clearly see it seconds into the first sighting.
