Had mine for about 5 yrs now. I wish more people did.
Ruger LCR .38+P in pocket most days.
Sketchy nola areas or longer car trips IWB Glock 23.
Had to leave it in the car last week in Brookhaven MS of all places. Exxon/Subway had no guns sticker.

I have a permit. Got it in 2010 but it expires next month and i haven't taken a renewal class. I rarely carry. Only times i do are late night trips to wally world.

I laugh at those.
Had my permit since August of 2011, so that would make about 2.5 years. Then again I'm only 24 so haven't been legal to carry for that long.
But when not at work or in a citizen disarmament zone (aka gun free zone), I usually have a firearm on me. Ruger SR9c IWB, Kahr CM9 IWB, or Kahr CM9 in pocket depending on attire.

I carry IWB small of my back 90% of the time.
Its funny when I get in the car with the family to go somewhere. As soon as I get in and I don't feel the presence of my pistol its like walking outside into the freezing weather without a shirt on. Suddenly I take my seatbelt off to get right back out of the car.
They instantly know what I forgot in the house.

? I don't go anywhere without a pistol myself. I carry on my hip sometimes IWB and sometimes in an exterior holster. 2 years. Carry every day. My job puts me in some remote locations that are frequently vandalized by copper thieves and here recently battery thieves. 9mm Shield

I've got the permit, but almost never carry. I probably haven't shot my carry gun in a year. I don't like to carry if I'm out of practice shooting, so that's really the reason.
