Chlorine related Stainless corrosion

Podnuh had a boat in a enclosed shed, water came up 3',,,pool chlorine in garage went under water, really intense chlorine environment in garage. Some of the Stainless Steel had some dark brown "rust/corrosion". We assume it came from the chlorine becaus wit wasn't in this condition prior to the flood. Most of it came off with soap/water and rubbing. But there are some places you can't reach. What's a good cleaner to get that stuff off or neutralize the corrosion?

Sand paper if it's really stainless.

I'd be a lot more worried about wires and connections than SS fittings. If it's screwing with SS, what do you think it's doing to everything else?

Almost all stainless has a little copper in it, that's what the chlorine will attack. Anything electrical related needs to be checked, even the off-gassing of chlorine will attack exposed copper.
