Perpetual light shine upon her.

It kills me when this happens. Saw it time and time again when my boy was at St Judes.
It's not supposed to happen to children and when it does, it takes a little more starch outta me.
I feel so much for the childs family.

I must remember though, for her, the hard part is over.

That's what makes it unbearable, is that this little girl never got to experience life to fullest..

It is truly the worst, Rog

Yep - it was about this time last year we started planning his hunt with EJW jr - I was cleaning out the old sign in sheets and came across his - seems like yesterday.

Cancer sucks and seems to always hurt good people. My old boss at work who is only 28, who's wife works with mine and our kids go to school together was just told that his lymphoma came back as bad as it was before his chemo a few months ago. Now has to go through another round of a different type chemo. Just sucks because his whole family is good and nice people.

I didn't know this girl or anything but just seeing someone hang tough against all odds is truly inspiring. It's a shame that cancer ultimately won.

I hope the medical community continues its advancement against cancer. I'm sure it's only a matter of years until stories of cancer are like curing the common cold.

Best of wishes to all involved.

Just watched that YouTube clip. Amazing for her to belt it like that with such little energy from all the treatments. I'm a musician and can respect hearing someone sing from the soul when I hear it.

RIP Bree

That is such an amazing picture. It says so many things to me, I actually think I am going to print a copy of it and put it on the wall in my office. I never knew Bree and won't until I too am with God, but it is such a reminder about never letting life get the best of you. Enjoy every second you just never know...I am going to have to stop cutting onions...

How's Mrs. EJW doing? Lost my wife to cancer 7 months ago. Still getting worse, not better. I hate this stupid shite of a disease. So many people. I swear i hear of someone new almost every day.

Very sorry to hear, man. Cancer is a terrible disease no doubt. I don't know if it will ever get easier, tbh.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the morning I got the call that EJW had passed, I felt as if an elephant jumped off of my shoulders. That feeling was simply due to the pain I knew he was dealing with at the time and I wanted nothing but his pain to stop. It took a little while for the whirlwind to end, but I now know that his pain was temporary and the ones that loved him so dearly deal with it the rest of their lives. There isn't a morning, day, evening, etc that passes that I don't think of him in some capacity. It's not the painful times of 2013 anymore, as it is the good times we had together.

The only comforting words I can offer Bree's family are that this precious angel is not suffering anymore. There will never be answers as to why this occurred to such a great person, but we can only hope and pray that the rest of her family and loved ones are able to cope with this huge loss.

I'm sitting outside right now with tears coming down my face taking this all in while my wife and son are inside watching TV. The last alone time I had with Josey was two weeks before he passed. I say with him a few hours while his wife and kids went to church and such. It pained him to talk so we sat in the same room and texted each other like we did for ten years each day prior. During that text conversation, he said he simply could not imagine seeing a child go through that ordeal like Bree was enduring. He took comfort in the fact that it was him dealing with his disease instead of any other loved one of his or a child he didn't even know.

These are the kinds of stories that test my faith. RIP and will be adding her family to my prayers tonight.
