Charter tipping question

I've heard around here the standard is around 15-20%, but how do I divide the tip between the captain and deckhand on a bowfishing charter? 4 hour trip, they don't clean the fish, and total cost is around $800. Not sure, but I think it's a new captain running someone else's boat, and I'm depending on the deckhand to put a few fish in the boat since we can't hit the broadside of a barn.
ETA: Went once before and the captain owned the boat - paid by check and told the capt. I added $150 for them. I left the dividing up to them, but in hindsight it didn't quite feel right.

why in the name of holy hell would you tip a man charging 800 a day to run a boat?
Do you tip your trash collector? perhaps the HVAC guy that fixes your AC?
This has gotten out of control, I get tipping the deckhand for going out of his way or a captain you feel put in some extra effort but going into this expecting to be tipped is a bit rich.

I think this is pretty common for bowfishing charters though. I guess it's because they are getting back to the dock after midnight.

I've looked at several charters and they are all a out the same. Typically around $200/person and you pay for a minimum of 4 people. They all leave around dark and fish 4-5 hours. And I haven't seen one yet that advertises fish cleaning. I'm not complaining about any of those aspects - just wondering how to break up the tip.

100 to the deckhand and 50 to the capt
assuming they deserve it of course

I follow Midnight Blue Bowfishing out of Galliano on Instagram, I think he cleans fish because I've seen him post videos.
ETA; charter price includes fish cleaning

This is what I was originally thinking. Sounds like a plan.

We have used Marsh Masters a couple times and they will clean the fish. We did have to clean our big gar though. They weren't messing with that. Lol.

I have never had a captain expect to get tipped. He's getting his.
The first mate who is doing all of the hands on work, is tipped like a waiter, min 10 percent and the sky is the limit depending on service.
But frick that captain! He's already been paid!
