CCP Application Issue/Question

I'm trying to fill out the application online at the LSP site for the concealed carry permit. I held a valid CCP years back that has expired and long since I could renew it so I knew I had to go through the process from end to end this time.
However, the site is telling me that I need to pick "RENEWAL" instead of "NEW" and include my permit number. I don't even have my old permit anymore. My idea is to have a friend at the SO run my license and see if they can still see my permit number on my record. If they can't see it and give it to me what is my recourse here? Anybody ever been through this?

Yea it's weird.
As I was messing around researching this issue I found language in the CCP laws stating that you have to return expired permits to the LSP. Right then I emailed the LSP asking how I was supposed to put my permit number on the application when I sent it back to them....so that never happened but hell it's worth a shot too

On Monday morning, call the LSP Concealed Handgun Permit Unit (225-925-GUNS) and ask them the question.
I predict (a) you won't be the first one to pose this question and (b) they'll be able to quickly provide an answer.

So I wanted to update here in case any of you other folks have this issue.
A) The normal cops can't help you. When they run your license they see that you have an expired permit not the number.
B) Good news....if you call LSP they will give you your number with no BS attached.
Now I'm trying to figure our how to take off work to go to BR to get the fingerprints done or just get them done electronically (with electronic print) at Acadia Parish SO and send them in and hope for the best.
Taking off of work to go to BR is a pretty crappy option IMO.
