I always heard they were gun free zones, but after the recent shooting close to home I noticed the one in Alexandria doesn't have gun free zone signs. I couldn't see anything posted at all about guns. Anyone else noticed this at your local theater (or any area typically a no carry zone)?

Movie theater connected to the mall in LC has no signs but the mall does so "technically" you have to enter the movie theater through the side entrance door instead of the mall entrance.

I think the real surprise here is that Alexandria has a movie theater.

Ours is free standing here. I've heard all the talk of them being a gun free zone and never noticed before. Just curious how it is other places and why everyone says they are gun free zones.

Don't give a frock about rules. I ain't going into a movie theatre unless she is good looking and I've got at least a 637 stuck somewhere.

They are not "gun free zones". Some of them may have signs that prohibit the carrying of firearms.

Worst that would happen is you could be asked to leave or put the weapon in your vehicle IF someone were to see it.

Just make sure it's concealed properly.
