TJG210,
I was fishing the north shoreline of East Galveston Bay. There's a lot more squid in that area than I've seen in SW Louisiana lakes and bays. I was throwing a cast net for bait in one of the back bays and caught 5 or 6 in one throw. There was an asian guy nearby that almost went berserk when I started to throw them back He took every one I caught.

Anyone else have any experience with this?

Yep, we use B2 squid as trailers when dragging rat-l-traps behind the boat in Lake P.

I have tossed some out on small jig heads at rigs in Barataria Bay and around GI with nice success as well.

I think everybody knows though, when you have trout piled up, they will literally eat anything you throw out there.

Squid wouldnt be my go-to on a tough day of trout fishing though.

I picked up a pack of Gulp Squid that was on clearance, should I try it for redfish?

Under a cork, free line, slow retrieve?

I've wasted $5 on worse.
