Depends what you like. Buy something that is reliable and don't be cheap and buy a Larsen or a Taurus. You can't go wrong with a Glock as it will run almost no matter what. The Sig Sp2022 can be picked up pretty cheap but needs a little more loving care.

My top two would be the Glock Gen 4 and the Beretta 92fs. Both very tough and reliable. Both guns will last a long time.
I own the Glock. Mine is slightly modified with a performance slide and grip.
Also, both guns require little maintenance
