Is BPS too high scale? Should I look for the seedy underbelly of the outdoors shops?

shite's illegal in LA. Have a buddy who has used it in MS. Basically if you hit the deer anywhere, it goes down.

He/She won,t go far. In fact, an arse shot is very effective using anectine. Many a Davis Island doe succumbed to it in the 70's.

Not sure if its been asked, but does this get in the meat and have an affect on humans? I'd hate to be scarfing down a tenderloin and pass out in my green beans.

That's kinda what Wiltznucs was saying and I'd have to agree.

Reading about anectine, apparently it can cause heart attacks in children.

All jokes aside, again i dont and have never used them. I just dont hold it against no one that does. As long as they are making ethical shots its all good. It just gives you a margin for a screwup so you dont lose that buck of a lifetime for hitting him back to far because your nerves got the best of you. What i would have a problem with is people using the pods and just shooting deer wherever because they know it will kill them, like in the arse, or gut, just because they know it will work

The point of bowhunting is longer season. Just like the "primative season"

I'm all for it. Just don't bowhunt.

You gettin worried about ole law dog coming after ya huh? I'm not gonna use this stuff either. I'd rather teach my kids ethics, not ways to skirt the law.

Que daylower

Haha naw i really dont use the stuff, but it is not illegal in mississippi anyway so i would be fine if i did. I just started bowhunting last year to give me more of a challenge. This would take away from that challenge. I want to kill a deer because i put in the time, practice, and developed a skill and then outsmarted that deer to kill him. Im jus saying i would not bash someones kill just because they used the pods. Its their preferance.

do know someone who literally made a terrible shot, hit deer in his leg.. Like 10 inches above the hoof. Deer made it 50yds

I have heard a similar story from a friend. His dad shot one below the knee and the deer didn't make it but about that far.

I remember in the early 80s my dad used it. All I remember is him sitting in the kitchen fixing up the pods and my mom keeping my brother and I in the back of the house so we wouldn't get poisoned. Scared the shite out of me. I remember crying because I was scared he would mess up and kill himself with the stuff.

no, there's no point of bow hunting if you aren't killing them with the bow shots. Might as well shoot shotguns during the seasons and have all the pellets soaked in the poison too.
