Unless you hunted with really dedicated bow hunters most would never know.

I could see it being a good fit hunting out of ground blinds where space can be limited.

I saw when Mathews released that bow and was kind of dumbfounded as to why it was considered a "Woman's Bow"

ETA: only thing I see is the max draw length of 28"

I don't understand why this is considered a "women's" bow. Is that strictly for marketing towards women or is their something about its specs?

Of course. As for reference, here are the specs for the mathews switchback xt. Back in it's day, it was the bow to have.

Draw Lengths : 25-30"
Axle to Axle : 31"
Brace Height : 7.5"
Mass Weight : 4.25 lbs
Effective Let Off : 80%
IBO Speed : 315 fps

I'm a 27, so it seems perfect for me. Might even end up as fast or faster than a Halon. I turn 50 this year and have had bilateral shoulder issues, so 70lb draw may not be something I need to worry about any more.

I already shoot a crossbow, so the answer is yes.

No, because I'd rather the ability to shoot at least 70lbs. Kind of like I won't buy a truck without 4WD, it's there if I need it.

I don't know why they market it for a gender as that would be a fine youth bow, minus the fact it's probably stupid expensive for a kid to out grow it.

So it's "less forgiving" (not that I buy that) with the shorter brace height and has a shorter axle to axle length making the string angle even more drastic which I'm not a fan of. Plus it's the same price.

You probably should not buy one.

you aren't buying into physics?

the longer the arrow is on the string, the more room you have for error

I don't think that is even the worst part. It's the decreased distance from string to riser.

I understand that but at current bow speeds I think it's more outdated than relevant. Mainly I was talking about the those two bows though. That arrow is traveling 300+ fps, and we're talking about a difference in 3/8" between the youth bow and the women's. If you pull or jerk the release I don't think that even a 1" difference in the brace height is going to save you.

Sure. Doesn't look girly to me and meets my draw weight and length needs.
