My uncle, who is from Winnsboro, told me when they were kids they'd hear hear Panthers screaming at night. Supposedly the panthers find an armadillo hole, yell into it and that would make the sound.

When he told me this I started to crack a smile at his joke but realized he was dead serious. I chose not to give him a hard time and just let it go.

Friend at work lives in Pitkin (his lease borders West Bay WMA) and swears up and down they have several pics of panthers around there. Funny that he never brings one for me to see.

Only odd cat i've ever seen was a huge freaking medium gray color cat. We're telling ourselves it was a big arse bobcat, just so we dont sound stupid.

This is my problem with people that claim to see them. They never produce pictures or proof.

If ever someone produced a LEGITIMATE, clear picture of one, I might believe it. But they never do.

Now, just a plain ole Mountain Lion...yeah, they are definitely around.
