Has anybody fished Big Lake recently? Probably start at the north(Turner's Bay) end and work our way south (Washout)... Staying at Spicer's and fishing out of our new 21' Nautic Star. Thanks in advice!

I haven't heard. Tried to join the Biglake411 board but something was wrong.

I am going this weekend, plan on hitting the rigs for big trout and then may be head out for some tuna.

I'd go hit some platforms offshore at first light

We are going this weekend. I hear they have been catching some fish in the lake under the birds. We are staying on Hebert's side.

Hope you have a boat with some range! Tuna grounds out of Cameron are about 100 miles....at least.

Been fishing the lake everyweek. Birds have been working great. Today was the best day in a while as far as weather. You can catch fish any where in the lane right now. We limited out in the middle of the lake today. Try commissary point if your coming out of herberts. It been real productive.

You will always be able to catch under the birds but the bigger fish are going to be offshore.

Don't have the exact one...I am going with a friend...has a 28 ft boat...hoping to get offshore...but who knows...

Last year we hit a few rigs...I think one is called the catterpillar rig...friend caught a 5lbs plus trout there.

Is it really 100 miles to find the blue water?

Dam...have never done it out of Hackberry...just Venice and Grand Isle...but we will have to see how the weather holds up.

How did you get the name, "Elcid"? Anything to do with a dive resort in Mexico?

Thanks...are you hearing anything about the water at the rigs? The few reports I got were good, and claiming they were catching some nice specs..but this was two weeks ago.
