I want to get on some birds this Spring. Where's the best place to go? (Preferably a place not over-saturated with turkey hunters)

On public land, that does not exist.

On private land either. Late Ice storm killed most of them. No sense in anyone hunting them for a couple years. Population is down 80%.

Good luck my man. I've seen guys on public land running through the woods to get between me and a bird that is responding to my calls.

Close to BR I'd try:
Sherburne
Tunica Hills
Richard K. Yancey

I haven't seen very many birds at either this year though.

no need even trying this year. The Southeast blue beak herpes virus has killed all the males. Just stay home

We should add it to the OB rules and recommendations sticky that openly discussing where to hunt turkeys with specifics results in a swift kick in the nuts by wap head dolly and a swim in Nascar's pond after.

I hunt a part of a WMA fairly close to BR and usually limit out every year without ever seeing another hunter.

But I'm not telling you where this spot is.

For Tunica do you have to be picked in a lottery?

If you head farther north you have the Sicily Island Hills WMA.
