Best way to keep perishables cold on a two night camping trip?

Looking for a tried and true solution that does not involve a Yeti. I'll have hot dogs, eggs, sausage, etc. The usual. Is it just a matter of freezing the items so they keep everything cool as they thaw? I've done a few one night trips so this has never been an issue.

I don't think you need to freeze eggs!
An ice chest is the answer Are you hiking in or something?

You don't have room for an ice chest?

fill gallon ziplock bags with water so they are 1-2 inches thick when laid flat.
Make enough to line the bottom of your cooler and have some to stand up in between some items.
Freeze them and use as above.
you can leave the drain open in case one of the bags springs a leak, otherwise leave water in bag as ice thaws.
But really you would be fine with good loose ice as long as you are not going in there every 15 minutes...

Use frozen ziploc bags or 2 liter bottles filled with water and an ice chest. No need to over complicate things. Just use a separate cooler that you won't open a thousand times.

You camping in Death Valley?
If not, regular ol Igloo with ice will last in car camping.

No need to freeze any of it. Any good cooler will keep your stuff more than cold enough for 2 nights. I use an igloo and has done just fine in some pretty warm temps. Another good idea is to use two coolers, one for drinks and one for food. This was the drink cooler will be the one opened most frequently saving the ice in the food cooler. Opening a cooler over and over again will warm your food up quicker.

Freeze milk jugs of water, two in a decent ice chest should last 2-3 days unless it's 80 + degrees.

any ice chest will handle two days this time of year....just ice everything down with an adequate amount of ice and it will be good to go. fwiw, put your food in some one-gallon ziplock bags so it doesn't get all waterlogged as the ice melts, though.

If you're bringing water bottles already just open up half a dozen or so, pour a little out then freeze them. Once it thaws your have water to drink
