Work the water column. Find if the fish are surface oriented, 3 ft deep looking up or down, or on bottom looking up. If its 5 to 8 ft. deep total with grass, work top water first thru the area. Then a bait just under the surface that will not break the top (fluke, stick baits, chatters, spinners), then a small lipless crank bait,1.5 KVD, square bills to target that 2 to 4ft deep area ripping thru grass and pausing. Then drop to bottom with heavy jigs, texas rigs and so forth. Find the depth they are at and produced the most action then key in on that depth with different colors, lure sizes, and actions, lips, rattles. After you key in hard then reproduce that in other area of the lake that are similar to the one your on now.
