best scope for S&W M&P 15 Sport AR???

price range between $500-$750 ($1000 would be pushing it)

Give the Leupold VXR series a shot. The firedot recticle is nice

Aimpoint Micro T2. It is non magnified though. Not meant for shooting tight groups.

Lists for 575 but can be found for under 500.
But it doesn't magnify, just quick target acquisition.
Plenty of magnifiers for under 5, depending on what you want.

When you said scope, I'm assuming you meant magnified? I have the older Burris XTR 1-4 and looking to add the Burris XTR II 1-8. Pretty versatile setup but it might be pushing your limit. But with the XTR line, you'll be getting a lot for your money.

nonmagnified - Aimpoint Micro T1
magnified - Trijicon Accupower. really need to up the budget if you want a kickass magnified optic.

Vortex Viper PST 1-4x. Chooce Mill or MOA subtensions depending on your preference. Leaves you a couple of bucks for a good mount.
