Let's put it this way, the IFA tournament Saturday is in Lafitte and 80% of the boats are running all the way to the Delacroix area.

If you can't catch reds in Venice, just stop fishing. SW pass, at the end of the rocks. blind bay, redfish bay depending on the wind. spillways.

Depending on the wind and tide, there's really good redfishing everywhere from Dularge to Lake Borgne on any given day of the year. Just know the area and you'll likely figure it out.

St. Bernard and Venice aren't just the best redfishing destinations in Louisiana. They're the best redfishing destinations in the country.

I've never had much luck with any species of fish in Lafitte. (other than hardhead catfish)

Venice is the king of redfish. No where else will compete with Venice in the redfish category. Now with trout, that's a different story. Venice has big trout but doesn't have the numbers (for a good part of the year due to high river) compared to Delacroix, Empire, Buras, Grand Isle, etc.

60 mile run, depending on exact area. I'll be making it Saturday unless I find better fish this week.
Venice in the late summer to early winter is king, Dcroix in early spring to mid summer

Yeah. Everyone go to Venice. It's the best. They just jump in the boat.

yeah... To be honest anywhere in south Louisiana can be the best that day.
I've had stupid fun days in Leeville, Fourchon, Biloxi marsh, etc... I just love Venice and Decroix due to the fact they are way fatter there... typically... last year in Dcroix was baaaad though (tourney wise)

Never said it was that easy.

You still need to know how to fish for them and where and without running aground somewhere.

Yep Dale.. already registered.
Had a bad 2014 season for IFA. Fish grew, equipment issues, and then missed the cship due to work conflicts.

Dam I hate when the fish grow. I've always been fond of the dularge area so I'm definitely in that one. Don't have the confidence to run from lafitte to dularge though. Not on that level I guess
