I'd love to hear your more complex interpretation of "Flowrate=heat, velocity=noise."

Mine is not at issue. Yours is.

Dude I know better than that. I can set all this shite up and run a full heat transfer simulation in ANSYS and post a full performance report if I want to. But I won't, because we're talking about boiling water.

Boiling water is serious business. So much so that Biggerbear is going to rip apart our perfectly fine boiler to cut 23.7 seconds off the boiling time.

thats cool. From all my experience, the bottleneck boilg water for your crawfish pot isnt the regulator(assuing you have a high pressure),the tank valve, the burner, the hose size but something else. And i fixed that issue with my setup.

It should actually cut the boiling time from around 25 minutes to around 15 minutes or less. But don't worry, I will only fool with it during the off season and all repairs come with the usual warranty. Besides, I get to fix a mistake that I made that you don't know about yet.

water depth, vessel heat retention, and surface area of heated vessel?

ha nah. using generalities(same water, pot etc.)

basically the Vaporization rate in the litte 20# propane tanks. so i hosed 2 to my burner. cut down boil time by about 40%

If you put the bottle in the pot it will stay warm and you get more flow!

I apologize for not recommending this one earlier. But I didn't figure you really needed 125 psi.

Vaporization is the process that occurs when a chemical or element is converted from a liquid or a solid to a gas. When a liquid is converted to a gas, the process is called evaporation or boiling;

"Vaporization rate" = flow rate = BTUs

Installed new regulator for a p shrimp boil on Friday. Shut off right when I put the shrimp in. 10 min later I got it running but the shrimp were ruined.

Took the setup apart yesterday and drilled out the acme fitting. Now I'm flowing like the Mississippi River.
