My buddy and I are looking to get a lease for next year. Are there any websites out there that can help? I know louisiana sportsman has listings every now and then. TIA

The landowners I know who are looking for new tenants or members are looking for on of two types: either guys with a lot of money who will overpay, or guys who don't actually hunt. If you combine both of those attributes, then you can definitely find a place.

If you don't qualify for either of those tags, then it's gonna be a hard look.

I had defacto membership at my dad's places from 15-25 because I always put in a lot of work. Realized that you don't get something for nothing, and I was up doing shite all of the time. Nobody ever complained because everything was always in good shape ad ready to go come hunting season.

I can also add that it helps if you have equipment, supplies, or connections with either readily available

Pay a fraction of the cost of a blind and look for an easement that gets you to Public land that most people can't reach

Eta: I understand it's a lot different down there though

I've been looking for one for a client of mine, that has bottomless pockets. I haven't been successful. Good luck.

6k /blind. It's not unreasonable for the area

I find less and less people plant rice anymore in gueydan. It isn't the duck capital of the world anymore. It may just be me, but hunting there isn't what it used to be, to me. Some friends leased 800 acres from Dixie Rice and all we really killed were geese for the most part.
