Stayed at Moran's in Fouchon just because it was central to GI or Leeville. Enjoyed the location but was interested in the OB's opinion of other options, particularly places where you can launch from where you're staying. Any input is appreciated but places like PAC marina, Sweetwater in Delacroix, Topwater in Leeville, etc...

There's now a kayak specific launch in PAC, look up Pointe Aux Chenes Kayak Rentals on Facebook, I believe it's a group page or something. I've only used the place once but Mr Eddie was great to deal with, has live bait if you so choose, will help with tips and directions, offers mothershipping services, lodging on his houseboat and RV spots. He's still adding some stuff but it's by far been my favorite kayak launches I've used.

Any idea how much tidewater cabin rates are? Would like to try a different place than Boudreaux's. Their back down is turning to shite.

Coco Marina in Cocodrie has nice lodging and boat slips beneath each room. We stayed there for a tournament earlier this year and it was nice to leave the kayaks in the water or on the pier under the camp.

Sweetwater accommodations are nice and very close to the launch and ba it shop. However depending on when you go, the launch can be very, very busy.
I fished Delacroix a bunch in the past 6 months and always saw kayak fishermen. You don't have to go very far most times to get into reds, trout, bass, drum, sheephead.....
