There is always two sides to a story, I'm hoping their side sounds better than what those articles say.

Eddie Burger is an a-hole Had a terrible experience with him.

Avoid this guy.

I have always heard good things about Burger. I personally had a horrible experience with Relentless charters and Capt. Mike.

Sounds Iike that link is what Melancon was crowing about about for months on end about cleaning up mismanagement. Seeing P-Card abuse like that should have alerted supervisors who have to review those purchases regardless of whether or not their direct reports can use them of their own volition or not.

$50,000+ worth of purchases of fishing and outdoors equipment in a year's time means over $1,000/week on average. Which tells me that either their supervisory staff was asleep at the wheel, (sorry for rhyming) or in on the deal.

It almost defies belief that someone could just ignore or sign off on that level of money being spent. We are talking my civil servants and there is always that possibility. But it reeks of someone over them looking the other way to me.
