Honestly, if partner of mine eats during a tournament, I'm never fishing with him again. I may ask about the whereabouts of the bucket of chicken, but that's just a joke.

We binge eat when big motor is running, so that we're better focused when the trolling motor is running.

This...I have never been on a boat and not eaten every 2-3 hours. Something about being on the water makes me devour everything

In a tourney if I get a little hungry I'll eat something only when the big motor is running. Otherwise I only really drink when the big motor is running unless it's mid summer and heat stroke is a legitimate possibility

the quantity of the food/drink ice chest is indirectly proportional to the quantity of the fish ice chest

I certainly wouldn't be trying to make a sandwich or anything like that on board...my go-to food in that kind of situation is typically something like a cliff bar and a coke...

basically, you are looking for something that is fairly high in calories, but compact and easy to store and eat in a few bites....

You've obviously never done that. Even in tupperware the bread gets moist, somehow.

I will NEVER eat this at home but for some reason, in a boat, I like it. Fried drumsticks. Buy a bunch, let them cool, THEN put them in a ziplock on ice. Quick and easy.

agreed...anytime you put bread in an ice chest it gets all mushy from the condensation...trouble is, it is typically too hot to keep it outside of an ice chest without it getting stale...
