If you do it right, you wont even need a dog box. Just use 2-3 straps.

I only have a class 4 on mine. I imagine that a class 5 would be way overkill but if thats what you want, its what you want.

IIRC, a class 4 pulls up to like 10 or 12k pounds, and a class 5 goes up to 20k. They use different sized hitches too

I need to get a receiver for my truck. I'm usin the bumper right now. I haven't had to hook up to my big trailer yet.

Yea it's definitely overkill by a whole lot. I think the truck is only rated for 7500 lbs.

I'd probably get a 4 if I could find one, but I can't.

Class 5 is 1k/10k from what I'm seeing

I'm just looking for 1k tongue weight more than anything.
