Also have a Sandman-L and I LOVE it...even though it feels looooong. Haven't have any issues with the mounting system yet, but have seen one or two issues. In fact mine has been rock solid.

As far as the latch goes...not sure it will make a difference or not, but I always depress the latch when installing. Maybe that will keep it from wearing. But dang it I want to hear it click lol.

On mine, the latch with grab a tooth and then back off just a hair. If there was a little more play, it could grab the next tooth and would be solid, but instead it just kinda hangs out between two teeth.

AAC has said repeatedly (and maybe correctly) that it's fine and that they built it to mount up under all conditions (military contract maybe). Should effect POI. Like I said, just annoying.

The bill, the Hearing Protection Act of 2017, was introduced Jan. 9 by Reps. Jeff Duncan of South Carolina and John Carter of Texas, both Republicans, and has 68 sponsors in all. It would retroactively remove the $200 tax on suppressors, and remove them from regulation under the National Firearms Act, in the name of reducing shooters' hearing loss.

He knows that, he's saying that if something ever does pass, the gov will not give up the free money. Just because it's a provision in the current proposal doesn't mean it will be in the final

Was going to post Gemtech also. Mine is quiet as mentioned above. The stupid grin on peoples faces when they hear or rather don't hear anything is priceless.
