I have original SBE wooden/blued gloss finish and I purchased a SBE2 last year. The gun is over 20 years old, been on a lot of memorable hunts and made some amazing shots but I need to replace the limbs on my bow or buy a new bow before October. I bought the new gun because I wanted a camo finish without the first gun. But that was before my shoulders got bad and I can't pull back my bow well enough to shoot regularly.

What is my original gun worth, it looks practically brand new, would you sale it or keep it?

But if you have to know, sight unseen I think it's a $750 to $900 gun.

Are you trying to get rid of a gun, bow, or both? I'm confused by your post.

For the gun or bow? I'm fixing to delete my last post things are already confusing. But you probably want the bow because you already have a SBE.

Cliff notes:
Need new bow, old bow will not supply the income required to afford new bow. I am wondering if benelli will, but not sure I want to sell it. That's where y'all come in.

I'd say $750 maybe $800

However, will it hold 4 like the very first ones or was it a little later one that had been "fixed".

I think it's one of the very first ones but not familiar with how to make it hold four

ETA: mine has the round safety just read something that said those will hold the fourth shell

It "might" bring a little more if that's the case.

I can definitely get four shells in it but not sure if it'll shoot. When I closed the bolt and press the button that releases a shell from the magazine to make sure it wouldn't jam the decocker button acted as though the gun wasn't ready to fire. I wasn't in the mood to go test fire at the moment.

My current generation SBEII will float a 4th. Has to be 2 3/4" or 3". It won't do it with 3 1/2's though. Don't ask me how I know.

Didn't the Feds threaten Benelli with a ban unless they 'fixed' the floating shell feature?

It has nothing to do with the plug. It "floats" above the lifter.

I misunderstood this exact term used on another site earlier and thought about throwing my gun in the pond to see if 1/4 of the gun floated.
