Ballpark price on concrete work

Can anyone tell me approximately how much it would cost to put in a couple of parking spaces worth of concrete so I can have a place to put my boat?

$10- 15/SF depending on site prep and paving thickness

Damn, that's rich. I had a Mexican concrete crew do a 5" 12x12 pad with rebar for $500. I guess I made out like a bandit

Have no idea where the $10-$15 per square feet is coming from, but including concrete, you can easily get it formed and finished in the $4-$5 range, especially for just a pad to put a boat on. Concrete is a touch over $1 a sq ft, finishing is in the .50 to $1 range per square foot depending on finish needed and size, and unless you are needing something special, just cut the grass to the ground, throw some 2X4s down nice and square, a key way across the middle, and your prep work is done (provided you have a somewhat level yard devoid of holes). Even though my numbers don't add up, you'll likely hit a minimum charge on something that small, so it'll end up costing you in that range of you pay someone to do any part of it, so your best bet is to let someone else do it all unless you want to finish it yourself, which will be pretty easy for something that size. Only cost then is concrete, which you're probably gonna get hit with a 4 yard minimum on (320 square feet of concrete 4" thick basically).

Should be able to find someone to form and pour for $3-4/SF - 10x30 would cost you $900 or so.
$1500 total.

I pay 4/ft on slabs and 3/ft on driveways

Yeah, mine was a driveway extension and came out to $3.47/ft. They dug up the yard, formed it, poured, finished, and came back a few days later to remove everything.

your math works, but i doubt that you'll find anyone good willing to come form/pour/finish such a small job for 3 or 4 bucks, unless these are Home depot'ers (which is fine)
400sf is a tiny job
i wouldnt do it for less than 4k all included, its just not worth the time, but others may i guess

Changes with the wind man. Call one of the companies and they will come tell you. We have used Ascension Ready Mix a pretty good bit.

I just did a building pad. you can figure around $5 - $7 range a square foot

I paid $4/sq ft for a 20'x20' pad this past fall.

Sorry. I was meaning to say a bit over $1 per square foot. A yard covers 81 square ft at 3.5 inches, which is typical driveway/pad depth. With fiber, it's running in the $110-$115 range locally.
Something the size he is wanting can be formed up and poured by lunch time. I'd imagine he will hit a minimum charge of $1000 plus concrete which should put him, as was said, in the $1500 max range. But if it's just a pad out in the yard that will just be there for the boat, he can easily throw up some form boards, an expansion joint, and rent a bull float from Home Depot and get off for less than half of that.

I'm in the middle of the process right now.
Parish concrete was $125/yd after tax for 300lb with fiber.
Concrete finisher just left after looking at the job. He wants $750 to prep, form and finish 450 square feet.
Other guy wanted $1000 and Angelle wanted $950 for concrete.
