That is the question.

I just bought a new F250 and I want more fuel capacity. Do any of y'all have experience with Transfer flow fuel tanks .

Or should I get the tried and true tank for the bed.

I'm just trying to avoid losing bed space.

New body style? How big of a tank is OEM?

It was always ridiculous to me that's ford put a 20 something gallon fuel tank in the 250 but I have a 36 in my 150.

I have a RDS 52 gallon tank in the bed of my truck. It has a 10" deep tool box on top of it. I keep a transfer pump in the tool box and ran a 12v receptacle to the bed of the truck. Just have to drop the suction into the tank and it has a pump nozzle. A little more messy but simple and not permanent. I had the tank in a chevy previously and had it rigged up to continuously gravity feed into the stock tank. Didn't have any problems that way either but didn't want to drill any holes and cut the fuel supply on my 2012 F250. Titan makes a 50+ gallon replacement tank but it is pricey.

Why? Is there a lack of gas stations in Kingsville?

Don't know anything about the 250 tanks but transfer flow is a great company.

The tundra tanks are top notch and very well regarded. I would expect similar of their 250 tanks.

On the farm trucks we always used the aux tanks in the bed that are so common. I don't have any experience with the under carriage aux tanks but would hate to sacrifice bed space that could be used for toolbox or other gear.

Hope you can find some decent reviews.

Congrats on new truck balla

PS, why are you so lazy you can't stop to fill up like the common man?

I use mine for towing my 5th wheel. Much more convenient to fill up in rest area parking lots vs finding a station that is easy to get into and out.

He put a 65 gallon underneath the bed in the OEM position? Does someone make a program that would adjust the "miles to empty" reading since it's such a larger tank?

I have a 55gal Titan tank in mine. Huge PITA to take down, and getting the vent hoses routed properly (vertical and not pinched) is also a PITA. I drive a gas, but have a diesel tank in it because they don't make one for the gas.

Extended my range from around 330 miles to 550 on the interstate. I love it. Get one.

Eta: My 2004 computer adjusted itself. No idea why they wouldn't

If you get one for the bed make sure it's aluminum. The steel ones start to rust and cause injector problems.

You are. Basically unplug pump, undo vent lines, drop tank, and do the reverse with the new tank. About a 45 minute job if you've never looked at a fuel tank before

how to do it video

Well, I just called a few places and it looks like I'm looking at about $1200 installed for a factory replacement. Does that sound right to y'all?

For labor and the tank that sounds about right. Hell i think i paid in the $600 range for the bed mounted tool box tank i have now. Just curious. How many gallons is the replacement?
