Hornady SSTs 140gr will not feed into my new Tikka 6.5x55. Just a heads up.

ETA: just picked up the Noslers and they do chamber. I'll be calling Hornady on Monday.

Haven't called them yet. Haven't seven shot the others yet. I might try to tomorrow. Work has been kicking my arse.

ETA: Do you have yours set up yet? Tried the Hornadys?

Not yet. Been really busy and haven't even put a scope on it yet. I hope to attempt to shoot it one of the next 2 or 3 weekends

There's not a whole lot to find about that cartridge anyway. When I was looking into getting it a lot of the forums I was reading were several years old.

Finally picked my gun up yesterday and the first thing I did was attempt to load the Hornady round. I had a box of the Hornadys in question and a box of Federal Fusion. The Fusion loaded very nicely, almost as smooth as bolting the gun with no bullet. The Hornady rds loaded but the bolt was stiff and resisted when loading. There was an appreciable difference between the 2 rounds. I didn't get a chance to shoot it, but I'll let you know when I do

Not trying to hijack your thread, but that's the reason most folks don't want/need a forward assist on an AR.

Mine wouldn't even get that far. You going to attempt to shoot them?
