I have been known to chase a bird dog through the basin once or twice in my life...

My buddies have a lease on the river by crook chene. Endless battle with trespassers. Green jeans even caught a democrat shooting deer from the boat in the river in front of his camp.

I hunt ducks in the basin yeah. That's a big area though. All the way from 190 down to Morgan city. What's your game of choice?

I've always been fascinated by the basin and would love to spend time there exploring and fishing.

some of the best squirrel hunting in the state in the basin
we've got a houseboat near bayou long...ducks have always been scarce (except woodies) but squirrels are always there

If you're looking for public places to hunt, check atakapas and sherburne wmas and Indian Bayou.
