Clay Dyer

quote:

Dyer's physical limitations have not dampened his determination and positive spirit. He started fishing at age 5 and began tournament fishing at age 15. He refuses to use special equipment, wanting to cast with one hand as others do with two. He casts by tucking the rod under his jaw and whipping it around with a quick left-to-right twist. He reels fish in while holding the end of the rod under his chin. He ties knots with his tongue and unhooks fish with his teeth.[1] Dyer fishes on the Bassmaster Open Series. He has fished in more than 200 bass tournaments and placed first in approximately 20 state bass tournaments. He is sponsored by O.R.C.A. coolers, Strike King Lure Co., Ranger Boats and Mercury Marine.

I bought my ole Kenner at Guntersville Boat mart but never fished the lake. Always wanted to go back and fish it. Beautiful lake.

Good on ole boy. The human spirit can be amazing.

That's a fishing fool right there! No excuses to leave them fish alone. Thanks for sharing!

We have a guy that fishes with us occasionally. He's in a wheel chair. It's amazing to watch him at the ramp and on the water. Top it all off, he's pretty good too.

Great guy. He does a lot of motivational speaking at schools and has a very active speaking ministry.

I fished all day on Guntersville Saturday, with both my arms and both my legs, and I only caught two crappie that would measure.

Good job by this guy.

I'd be worried if him unhooking rattle traps or rouges with his mouth. Other than that, awesome.
