Pretty cool video, and I was quite surprised at the punishment the plates took.

Anyways, for those interested:

pretty damn impressive. I've looked into getting some of their plates, just not a top priority for me

looks like someone would be worse off with the body armor if shoot with the 50cal. Not that anyone would survive either way. 50 is one bad SOB

Yeah, the .50 is pretty much an end game.

I was impressed with it stopping that 338 though, definitely thought that would penetrate.

Do the ammo hoarders really stockpile body armor too?

I wouldn't say armor is a necessity, but I would say it's recommended to have for a SHTF scenario. I think that blog from Argentina(?) or something when their economy and all collapsed said he wished he had it just for added security. Maybe you don't need the plates but the regular Keller that will stop most handgun rounds.

Also that site is a military one and the lvl 3 is what the military issues for combat so I guess it's cool to see just how much the lowest bidder can stop.

frick now we have .22 bullets so we're worried about body armor???

I got news for you hoss. If the shite hits the fan, the SOB wearing body armor toting an M1A with 3 glocks on his belt and 35 clipazines is gonna be the first to go.

Naa... I'd say Quentavious over in Nola East or Leshandarious in Iberville would be the first

I do. I believe it's a fancy word for guys wanting to buy cool toys to play with.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. But just admit you want it because it's badass you like badass things, not for some societal breakdown

This is my SHTF outfit. It's a little restrictive, but when I walk down the street wearing it carrying an AR and pistol, people tend not to frick with me.

I think if you're going to showboating down the middle of the street, then yes. However, if you were still trying to get to and from your job in your car in a SHTF scenario like the guy down in South America was doing, wearing BA under your suit or shirt or something would be beneficial.

Do I think a SHTF scenario is possible in America ? Yes. Probable? No.

A must-have for the SHTF enthusiast

All you need is a stack of cash and a ticket to Ft Lauderdale.
