What would you prefer? It will be for hunting at night no more than 100 yards. After Deer season of course.

7.62X39 is wayyyyyyy cheaper to shoot than 7.62X35(.300blk). I would go with the AK. If money is no issue, .300blk is great.

I forgot to mention, I would only buy a gun in .300blk if I planned to SBR and suppress it.

Jesus. How much is it to SBR a .300blk? I've got my eye on an MPX 9mm, without the can..and that Hoss is pretty penny. Of course if/ when I go that route, I'm getting the can at the same time.

$200 tax stamp. Can is the same. The $200 is on top of the cost of the can or gun.

Sorry to hijack your thread OP.

Are prices expected (or at least thought) to drop or guns? Or at least loosen the lengthy process to get a can? Would love to by that MPX and can...but waiting a year sucks arse.

Just not sure whether to wait...or just drop the money and wait.

I am hoping the HPA gets shoved through within the first 2 years of Trump's term.

Well you can buy the pistol versions readily but the SBR approval takes up to a year currently. Best thing to do is to buy the gun, put an approved brace and file the form 1. Use the gun with the brace (not telling you to shoulder it) until your approval comes back.

After 41P passed, it may take up to a year because of how many people filed forms for NFA stuff before 41P became active.

So, out of the options of going with the MPX, CZ, or MP5...how would you rank them? I'll obviously just have to wait for my can.

It depends on preference. Carson likes his MPX and CP3 likes his CZ. The CZ is cheaper and runs well. I havent had any trigger time on on MPX and the only CZ Scorpion I have fired was a pistol with no brace (stupid, I know). If money was not an issue for me, I would personally go with a good MP5 clone like the Brethren Armament stuff. I would get one in 9mm and one in 10mm. I don't think any of them beat the other and it seriously all comes down to preference. I have always wanted an MP5 so that is what I would go with but with the amount I would spend on a good clone, I could buy 3 Scorpions .

Oh, another option not mentioned would be the B&T APC9. I havent seen a bad review of it and knowing B&T, it is very well made. Also, it comes with an aimpoint micro.

KAK shockwave "arm brace" until form 1 clears.

If you were to hypothetically shoulder it, it allegedly feels very comparable to a stock.

I like the KAK brace. Have one on a 10.5 556 and it is nice.
