Anyone with plumbing experience

I broke a copper pipe trying to unscrew something from my faucet outside of my house. Is it tough to unsolder and remove the broken pipe? Or should I just call the plumber? I'm worried if I use too much heat I could mess the remaining good pipe coming out of my house.

They're incredible. Use them, trust them, worship them.
I drank about 40 beers staring at one waiting for it to drip the first time I used one. Never a drop.

Can you post a picture of what broke?
Did the pipe or fitting break?
Im assuming the pipe broke in the fitting? You should be able to heat it up while pulling on the broken piece with channel locks. Heat the fitting itself and not the pipe.
Sand down. Add flux install new fitting. Heat that and sweat the solder in. Not too bad.
If the pipe is damage either cut that and put a coupling or go back to the next coupling and unsolder that in the same way. Replace coupling and pipe.

No, I broke one and repaired it myself. Just looked up how to do it. If you do not feel comfortable with that, shark bite fittings as others have said.

Same here, I thought to myself "this shite will never hold" but they do, some sort of black magic is involved.

I broke the pipe right near the fitting. There is less than an 1/8" of pipe showing. I tried torching it and trying to get it out with vice grips but couldn't get it loose. I couldn't unsolder on my own. Had to call the plumber but hey at least I have a propane torch now! Thanks to everyone for trying to help.
