supposed to end up costing like 1/5th the cost of buying them outright.

I started refilling a couple of years ago...

You can actually buy the mats from China for pretty darn cheap. They are called ARS Mats and you get 60 of them on Ebay for about $10. They fit fine in a Thermacell.

Wow, heck yeah thanks for the link
To those mats that just made my turkey season more enjoyable. That kinda stuff pisses me off how cheap they get in in china and how much they gouge the consumer. I understand profit margin but there's no reason to charge me 5x the price.

You think they hunt in China much? They ain't selling it in China...they are making it there and selling it to Americans for pennies on the dollar...because their workforce is so large and industry is not regulated like here.

I agree about the 5x price...once this stuff is deemed ok we need the government oversight/cost to back off..that's one thing driving the cost up. I mean does China have FDA inspectors from the US there?

don't see how you would want to mess with doing that when 60 pads can be had for $9 from that link.

I use a thermacell often but it has to be very bad for your health to be inhaling burning insecticide

i run mine on my patio. Use it for fishing. Don't hunt. Be cool as hell if there was an adapter that would let you connect it to your bbq grill propane tanks.

MEAUXJEAUX because a $9 dollar bottle of premethrin will reactivate 1000 + pads only take a few drops.

i understand that. But you also have to add in the blue dye to know when to change out the pads. I also know that Premethrin is not the active ingredient that Thermacell uses.

Actually it is the active ingredient and has been known for a few years now it's no secret. And about 10 drops of food coloring dies the entire jug. Try throwing shade somewhere else.

not at all what i'm doing.

I head somewhere that there was a different ingredient. Started with an A.
Also said that Permiferin had larger molecules and was harder to get it to vaporize. You mix yours with distilled water?
