If you look at it on google maps it's in between Miller Ln and Wilson Ln. It looks like a white gravel drive and would be a nice place to launch a kayak or small boat. I can't see if there are any signs or an honor box or anything.

Beshels is the only public place I know of down there on the east side.

that one place you are looking at on a map, is a private club - I would not recommend using that one or pissing those cats off..... just saying....

My limited experience with Point a La Hache makes me think this is sound advice.

Been to pointe a la hache quite a few times at a private club. Just saying heed these warnings and don't piss anyone off down there...could end up getting ugly if you do

And who would go look for you there if something did happen?

That place is the end of the world. Feels days away from New Orleans.

Sounds like this place has some stories. So who has some?

let me put it like this, very few people scare me or even make me nervous. But rattlesnakes don't scare me either - but I sure as hell don't go fricking around with them.

Couple of guys(families) in that group that I would need a good excuse to piss them off.

Heck go ask they may let you launch...

Thanks everyone. I figured it might be something like that. And I would never go unless there was some sort of signage or honor box letting me know if I could do so.

On the club is that the Suburban rod and gun club? I know they have a setup down that way. Looks pretty nice on google earth. This isn't right there, unless they have two launch spots.
