So my 9 year old daughter is really into sewing. We went to my dads and she saw a deer he had killed and she said she wanted the hide to make her a pair of pajamas. I don't think the pj's would be possible, but I would like to tan the hide for her for a rug.
What do I need to tan the hide? Should I pay someone to get it done or is it fairly simple?

I love my deer hide PJs. Sometimes, I'll wake up at dawn and walk around the woods in them.

Ok I will get his number from my dad.

She doesn't want to hunt the deer but she wants to wear its skin. Maybe she is related to Buffalo Bill.

I had my local taxidermist send a Sika deer hide off last year. Cost about $175, but came back nice. Soft, supple, and will last forever.

Now I've got my mind set on a pair of deer hide pajamas. I already have a pouledeau feather set.
