Crusader Safaris. The owners of my company have been twice. We were all going to go this past spring, but we had to cancel. Going next spring.

Been dreaming of it since I knew what africa and hunting was. Starting to reconsider my desires though. I wan to hunt the way Hemingway and Roosevelt did it, which doesnt exist anymore. I wan tent camps in the bush, not a five star resort on a ranch. I will get there one day.

I went last year. You should join Safari Club International in Louisiana. It will cost you about $100 for a year. You will get that back in info. Should be able to get a deal on a hunt at Banquet they have each year.

Joining SCI is good advice. I went on a safari for two weeks in South Africa in 2003. I shot six animals(kudu, bless buck, gemsbuck, impala, springer buck, and a zebra). We also went bird hunting where there were no limits whatsoever. One day we went out on the Indian Ocean and caught Yellowtail. I was there for two weeks and definitely wanted to stay longer. Shipping your animals back to the States and getting them mounted starts getting pretty expensive, because even though your trip is over, those expenses keep coming at you. It's all worth it, IMO.

Had dinner with a guy this week that took his sons a couple of years ago and they shot one. Said not even the locals eat zebra.
