Anyone else at elmers today?

before the sun came up there was schools of bull reds, they got within 10 feet of me in the water. I was a little nervous and started backing up as I cast into them. Hooked one and fought him for a while until he broke my line.

I have seen them like that once as well...didn't have live bait and couldn't get them to bite an artificial for shite..

very cool to see them, though...

I am curious what would have happened if I would have stayed still and them run into me. I was a little afraid of drowning even though I was only waste deep.

Bruising/possible broken leg, depending on how fast/big the one who swam into you was.

I just about soiled my britches one time when a big object swam under my canoe... then I realized it was a beaver.
