Going up to the camp next weekend and we have had a major hog infestation in the last few months. going to try and pick a few off and hopefully salvage a little meat, first priority is just killing as many as I can though

Killed 26 last year. Have killed a total of 1 this year. Not sure what happened to our hogs. Haven't even been seeing any sign.

Sounds like you're lucky. We leased a trap from NRCS (state) that has a camera on the gate that sends texts to phone. You can activate the gate remotely when the time is right. Caught 6 Saturday and disposed of them.

We killed around 10-15 last summer. Haven't had as much time this spring/summer, but have had time to see a couple big boars and plenty of piglets on our trail cams. We have a real hog problem- this is in St. Francisville, Louisiana.

Yeah I try to do the same thing. I have a 50 inch LED lightbar with adjustable red or green lenses. We've been picking them off one by one in the middle of the night through my sunroof
Fun but inefficient way of doing it.

I shot 4 that we trapped two weeks ago. Does that count? We are just about 10 miles east of St. Francisville. Going up this weekend to re-bate traps. We've trapped quit a few so far this year.

I've shot 13 so far in E. Feliciana, missed or wounded 3. Have seen a bunch of sows & piglets on the game cam but not a lot of big boars. Shot 3 over 200lbs last summer, but none over 200 this year.

Here's an example of what we're dealing with on our property. Found this big boar on one of my trail cams earlier this month. The amount of feed and money wasted on pigs like this makes me

I know this sounds crazy but I'll salt mine down and fry the whole pig in a huge pot of peanut oil. The whole street will come down and eat the pig in just over a hour.
