Most populous duck, easily domesticated and breed in captivity, basically the tilipia of the duck world yet we can only kill 4.

I moved to Texas just so I can kill 5 Mallards instead of 4.

Pretty good when they get here. I also moved to Texas to start earlier too which you showcased by dragging my pic from the other thread. I sense some butt hurt here.

ST I thought you were the all-knowing omnipotent wiseass on this board? With all the other knowledge you share with us plebes, I'm surprised you don't know this already.

No seriously. Are the Feds managing them like snapper or what? We used to be able to kill 10 pintail when the population was near the level of mallards and even then drakes were 25 and hens 100. Pintail population drops because they won't breed in neighborhood golf course ponds and sewage retention ponds like the mallard and we can only kill a couple.

No butt hurt here. I start late every year on purpose. I stick to a normal job until the second split.

I actually hunt in LA second split. Only been on a handful of Mallard shoots here in TX where the 5 bird limit applied.

I guess they don't want the population to get low like the pintails
