I'll be there. Weather looks good, and about 2500 other boats will be in it. I'm pumped, but not delusional enough to think I'm gonna win it. What's the current pattern on the Lake?

well, if you're already going to win, then I guess I'll just stay home and win the lottery

I had planned on it, but now I have to work instead

As far as current pattern, I would be fishing deep. The spawn is over and most of the big fish are gonna be back to their summer haunts. Only time I would be fairly shallow is early morning with a frog and a one knocker spook.

Deep cranks, Carolina rigs, and big ribbon tail worms is all I would throw after that.

I'll be there but I'm not fishing the McDonalds this year. I may try it next year. I just don't know the lake well enough to fish it yet.

You'll probably catch a 10 pounder and hate yourself

Very Large swim baits in deep deep water along the channels is what will win this tourney.

I'm thinking about it since they are giving 5k for an exact 3,5,or 7 lber. The boat and truck will be tough to win

Some local has the winning fish penned up already. Will be weighed in the second hour and hold up .....

I don't need a new boat or truck, but, I'm only holding about 7,000 22lr boolits, think they would give me another 500 boolits, instead of a boat & truck?

A guy my aunt works with caught the second place bass. His was 11.45, first place was 11.48. Only 3 hundreths of an ounce seperating them

He said he caught it fishing cypress trees with a watermelon red Z-Hog, which surprised the hell out of me.

That's my buddies son. Was fishing his 3rd tourny ever. That is one hell of a prize and happy for the guy.

I got 3rd one hour with a 6.58 on a deep crank bait in 20' of water. I'm to old and out of shape to throw that many times. Hooked a couple more good fish on a Carolina rig but couldn't get them to the boat. Your buddy that caught the 5.0 was in my hour and I tried to trade fish. Lol
