Any quick fixes after a rock just hit my windshield?

Wasnt sure if I should post here or OT but I'm at work from now until 11:00, so I cant go to a shop until tomorrow. When I was younger I remember my uncle lighting a cigarette lighter under the spot where it hit to stop it from spreading. Wasnt sure if that worked. Anybody have any suggestions?

If you're in the Baton Rouge area, call Jeff craddock at absolute auto glass. He'll come to you and fix it for cheap. 225-413-6842.

Depending on insurance they will do it for free.
They also come to you and it's 5 min of your time.
I used safelight auto glass.

Call Erin Henely at Big River Glass. He will change the whole windshield for $125 or so
