This expression gets thrown around a lot on here but from Bayou Manchac to Lake Maurepas is a gar hole since the storms in the early-mid 2000s.

Went though port Vincent today. For those who dont know the public launch at Freds is closed. They are actually redoing the launch. They built a sea wall and have a big pump keeping the water out. I walked over and talked to one of the guys. He said it would be the end of Feb. to mid March before it re opens.
