Seems like I remember dawg saying he got one not to long ago.... Have you run it like dirty dog yet? I got the call yesterday to go pick one up but I decided to go back on the list and wait another couple months before I pull the tigger.

I had a friend who was going to let me borrow one so I could compare it side-by-side with the Shield. I still plan on doing the review but he said he gave the gun to his dad for carry so he may not be able to lend it to me.

But in my opinion, the 43 is a pretty solid gun. I would personally take a shield over it since I'm used to M&Ps but it's still pretty easy to shoot and seems to operate just fine. I'm hoping to get a full review on it soon and if someone here lends me one that would be just peachy.

must not have liked it too much.

Same here. My two favorites are the Shield and the new Walther CCP. I can shoot the nuts off a mosquito with that CCP, but it is slightly larger than the Shield.

I wasn't impressed with the G43. Nothing horribly wrong, I just couldn't get used to the size of the grip. With the flush mount mag, it was almost too short to get two fingers on the grip. The mag extension just made it feel more akward.

I can see why you'd go shield if that's what your trained up with. I'll hopefully have a 43 soon... I talked to a few friends who have them, and they've had no issues out of them so far through 500+ rounds.

You own a CCP? This is one I would love to review. I have heard differing opinions on it since Walther had already released the PPS.

Do you live in BR? I'd love to borrow that some time soon if you wouldn't mind.

I do have one. I've run very few rounds through it so far -- maybe 200.

It's been fine after I changed the mag release/catch (factory sent me a new one to replace the one that was occasionally blocking insertion of the mag), changed out the trigger connector (Ghost is the only make I could find), and added night sights (Ameriglo - mainly to get narrower front sight and wider notch in rear sight).

It's too early to be forming an opinion, after only 200 rounds.

BUT, as of right now, I'm a lot more comfortable with my 9mm Shield, and I shoot the Shield better (faster). The Shield has half an APEX kit in it, so the trigger pull is comparable to the G43 with the Ghost connector.

The "diameter" of the grip on the G43 is just too small for me. I pretty much end up shooting it one handed - and my trigger finger is stuck way up into the trigger guard, so I'm not able to use the pad of my index finger. This means "relearning" the feel of the reset position, and causes me to pull some shots (too much trigger finger) if I don't slow down.

Thanks for the info

The only thing I'm planning on changing is the sites. I'm a big fan of the ameriglo proglo. I have pretty small hands so hopefully the grip issue won't be a problem for me.

Was able to pick up the other day... Love the feel of the gun so far. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but hopefully soon.

For anyone looking, Puglia's told me they have "some" CCPs. Not saying where I found a PPS though. Was much harder to find and the price was $579. That's about $75 more than I was expecting
