where's the lower receiver

He had a lower so I didn't bother putting it on the build sheet. There is a line for it but not costed in the final total.

There honestly isn't too much needed for tooling.

-Barrel nut wrench depending on what barrel nut you use. I've started using Matrix handguards because they are easy to install, aren't too heavy, super cheap an dyou don't need the barrel nut wrench to install them.
-punches (two sizes don't remember what size off the top of my head
-upper vise block. I bought something like this.

LINK

-vise to put the upper vise block in
-Castle nut wrench.

I also like the Wheeler detent tool which makes doing the front detent easier. It has an integrated punch and roll pin starter so you could really build the whole lower with just this.

LINK

I also use needle nose pliers or channel locks with tape wrapped around it to do the magazine catch roll pin. If you get a lower without integrated trigger guard or don't have a screw on trigger guard you will want a block of wood to support the ears in that area so you don't break them.

I don't think there are going to be any "deals" on guns period, for a little while anyway.

^^^This is the correct answer^^^

It's a seller's market for the foreseeable future

I'm going to assume most people will but a complete BCG that's already staked.

Can't be said enough. I'm not sure I have the manual dexterity to do it any other way, in fact. I needed Mrs. Midnight's help even using the Wheeler tool for the first time. I think that would improve over time. But compared to all the improvised solution, tape and so forth, this is literally the best tool purchase for the entire build, IMHO.

you would have been sorely mistaken about the Sandy Hook panic.

Sandy Hook was a much bigger deal than this. It was obvious from the start.

But hey, panic buy all you want. I got more than I need already.

I don't think the panic this time around will be anywhere near Sandy Hook levels.

ALL 4 proposals failing miserably in the Senate helped this. Now, we just have to wait to see what Captain Jackass does with his damn EO's.

Anyone still sell decently priced stripped lowers that have minimal engraving? PSA and Spikes use to have stealth lowers, can't seem to find them anymore. Want to do a custom engraving local.

The real panic time will happen right after hilllary appoints supreme court justice. The next president will get 2 to pick and its 4 to 4 right now. Hillary gets in its going to be worst than anything we have seen yet.

There are 80 million gun owners yet we so fragmented its a crying shame.
