Looking to drop in a new trigger on my Glock 17 and was wondering if there were any pitfalls to look out for.

It's so easy on a glock. You're good.

Youtube is your friend. If you are worried, take it to a gunsmith. Seriously though, it isn't hard.

Pyramid actually has an official installation video but they always make it look easy.

If you're getting a Ghost brand, buy the model that specifies "DROP IN"
The other models must be filed, then checked, then filed again, then checked again, etc....

The two pins that hold the trigger assembly lock down block (not sure that that thingamajig is called) wouldn't line up and I used a bigger hammer than I should have. I decided to take it to a gunsmith since my sorry arse couldn't get it right.

Yeah, the "use a bigger hammer" mantra doesn't always work

I've spent my career in the drilling business...of course that mantra works.

Make sure the pressure is set right on the trigger before you put it in.

Jim's only charges $35 to install trigger kits. I think you even get a discount if you buy the kit there and it's done while you wait (about 30 minutes)
