Alright so I have a few options and I wanted some opinions on different trucks. Which one seems the best deal?

2009 lariat (loaded) 85k miles 5.4L price is 22k

2011 xlt (nice features, sync, screen in dash) ecoboost engine 60k price 19999

Various other 2011-2012 xlt ~75-85 k miles with 3.7 v6 ~20k price

2010 fx2 leather 5.4L with 92k miles and 20k price

2010s xlt with 4.6L and ~75k miles 20k price

My top two are the lariat and ecoboost ones. Lariat for upgrades and ecoboost for lower miles good engine( I guess) and newer

These are all asking prices so I might get a better deal

There is one 2011 5.0 with 65k miles and 20k price with leather but no sync. I am spoiled by hands free that I think I may have to have it haha

Eta for KR lovers

2010 KR 120k miles 22k price
2008 KR 67k miles 22k

Of all those, this would be my choice. I don't really care about features beside power windows/locks/cruise control. Anything after that is just extra. It's newer, less miles, and looks to be the best engine out of all listed. I'd certainly rule out the v6 models ASAP, and if you intend to do any sort of towing/hauling I'd scratch the 4.6 as well.

ETA: Just saw your edit for the 2011 5.0, I'd consider this one as well. Sync is a great feature but not a deal maker/breaker. You can buy an aftermaket radio with bluetooth and similar capabilites of Sync for not a whole bunch of money.

3.5 eco and 5.0 are the only ones i would consider.. eco boost seems like the best value.. the 3.5 is actually an NADA add for whatever thats worth

Is there something wrong with the 5.4L?

well i know whatever i say about the 5.4 will be heavily disputed but in my experience most people that buy and sell trucks regularly (I've worked at large Ford and GM dealerships and know all the used car manager and wholesaler in my area) will either stay away from the 5.4's or put way less then book value in them. I hope whatever you pick turns out in your favor

2011 is when the new dash and motor came out, so if go with at least that year.

That 2011XLT with Ecoboost is my pick

I read somewhere that they switched to 3v instead of two and that's where the problem was. Does this sound right?

aftermarket radio with bluetooth is cheap and will be a much better radio than factory Ford stuff. And really easy to install.

Don't let sync sway your decision, unless it has MyTouch as well. Thats a whole different story.
